This is a space where the gothic, the cosmic, and the futuristic coexist, where the past and the future are the present, where emotion and reason form a single feeling, and where art and science intertwine with the same purpose: the expression and curiosity born from within me to manifest as art.
For me, art is more than a medium; it is a language of the soul that is born from the inside out.
Every project, whether a feature film, a song, a garment, a jewel, a painting, a poem, or a research article, is born from a personal need to explore, feel, and connect.

ABOUT ARLYN LIGEIA
Ligeia, also known as Arlyn Ligeia, is an independent and multidisciplinary Peruvian artist focused on film, music, fashion, and art. Her creative universe fuses the gothic, the cosmic, and futurism, wrapped in a unique aesthetic.
Ligeia grew up in Moquegua, Peru. During her time there, her refuge was always film and music. She studied Psychology at university and, as complementary training, Audiovisual Communication and Fashion Design and Management. Currently she holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a diploma in Fashion Design and Management.
In 2021, Ligeia directed her first audiovisual work, a music video for an independent band, which marked the beginning of her career as a director. In 2024, despite facing a severe economic crisis, she improvised with what she had at hand and managed to create her first short film. She wrote, directed, filmed, starred in, and edited it herself. That same year, Ligeia applied and was admitted to the Master's in Performing Arts at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru; however, she could not continue her studies due to her financial crisis.
As a result, and after completing a music video and a short film, Ligeia is currently producing her first feature film (written, produced and eventually directed, filmed, starring and edited) entirely by her. Simultaneously, she is working on her debut album and her first fashion collection.
Ligeia draws inspiration from the gothic, the cosmos and technology, as well as from vaporwave, retrofuturistic aesthetics, liminal space and pop culture.
Ligeia's artistic trajectory is a conscious search for inner authenticity. She embraces her femininity along with her interests and passions, without rigidly separating them. Thus, in the face of neutrality and prejudices, Ligeia firmly chooses visual and sensory stimulation as an act of creative honesty and fidelity to herself.
Ligeia defines her art as authentic and visceral, a space where she freely explores female sexual desire. She admires the archetype of the femme fatale and exaggerated femininity, a recurring theme in her work. She refuses to be pigeonholed and opposes any prejudice, convinced that true art arises from authenticity and the fusion of diverse stimuli.

The idea for this project was born in February 2025, and in May of the same year the formal development of its first elements began. However, due to financial delays, both the production of the film and the collection were postponed until October 2026, thus closing the Spring/Summer 2027 season.

Her vocation as a researcher was consolidated during her university training, culminating with first place in the IV Research Projects Competition 2018 of the José Carlos Mariátegui University (Moquegua, Peru), thanks to her work titled "Personality and self-esteem according to preference for type of animated series, in university students of the city of Moquegua, 2018".
